Point of Sale

A major mobile carrier company asked us to redesign their POS system for their retail store employees. The native application was designed to be viewed on iPad specifically in the portrait orientation.

Designing a breadcrumb navigation to help show the user where they're at in the sales process was a major obstacle for this project. Because breadcrumbs aren't usually incorporated with native iOS design, I had to customize it.

The Problem

Since I had already put a design system in place, I was able to use our primary action color to design a breadcrumb navigation that looked both aesthetically pleasing and accomplished the purpose for the user.

The Solution

We thought that the first version of this POS was scraped until we were approached to design another application within the same framework. This was proof of the viability and usability of the POS and ultimately of the projects success.
